The Perry Arts Center Advisory Board announces that “Art in the Armory” will return to the downtown Perry Arts Center on Friday, April 11th, 2014 and will remain on exhibit through Sunday, April 13th. A sanctioned event of the Perry Dogwood Festival, this year’s show brings dozens of new and returning local and regional Georgia artists. The 2013 inaugural show won wide acclaim from both artists and attendees, and this year promises to be even better. 2-dimensional works will include all media ranging from traditional portraiture, landscape and still-life to modern abstract and expressionist works. 3-dimensional pieces range from tiny delicate ceramics to large metal-work sculptures, wood carvings, stained glass, textiles and more.
A reception for artists and sponsors will be held Friday evening, at which time prizes will be awarded for winners in both 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional categories.
The show will be open to the public Friday and Saturday from 10 until 6 and on Sunday from 1 until 5. Parking is available at the Perry Arts Center – 1121 Macon Rd., Perry GA 31069, or shuttle service is available from the Dogwood Festival Parking area at the Georgia National Fairgrounds on Saturday and Sunday.
Admission to the show is free.
Artists will find artist's information and entry form here.
